XMAS & NEW YEAR 2007
At Colwall Park our aim is to ensure that you have a friendly, traditional and relaxing
Festive Break.
Head Chef James Garth and his Award Winning brigade will once again be creating superb seasonal
dishes for your enjoyment and as always you can escape to the roaring log fire
of the Lantern Bar or one of our cosy lounges. Add the outstanding winter scenery of
the Malvern Hills (although we can't guarantee snow again this year!) and you
have the all the ingredients for a perfect Christmas getaway.
Christmas Eve - Monday
Afternoon Tea will be served upon your arrival until 4.00pm. Relax until 7.30pm, when you will be able to meet your hosts and fellow guests at a festive Punch Reception. Tonight's gourmet dinner will be served in our Seasons Restaurant, following which we hope to have a visit from the Malvern Hills Brass Band, playing traditional carols in the Lantern Bar. For those wishing to attend, Midnight Mass will be celebrated at nearby St James Church; mulled wine and mince pies will be waiting for you on your return.
Christmas Day - Tuesday
Relax after breakfast and perhaps enjoy a walk on the Malvern Hills to work up an appetite for lunch at 12:30, a six course, mouth-watering tour de force served at shared tables from Chef James Garth and his award - winning brigade. Christmas evening is one of pure relaxation – a buffet supper (for those who can manage it!), traditional board games and a trivia quiz by the log fire.
Boxing Day - Wednesday
After breakfast you may wish to visit the historic market town of Ledbury to see the spectacular Boxing Day Hunt Meet or take a brisk walk along the river at Upton on Severn. Let us know if you would like to see the traditional pantomime at Malvern Theatres in the afternoon and we will happily arrange tickets for you. Enjoy your last evening with a splendid candlelit dinner in our Seasons Restaurant.
27th December - Thursday
After breakfast we say a fond farewell to guests who are leaving us. We would, however, be happy to have you stay a little longer and can offer you a very special Dinner Bed & Breakfast rate of only £60.00 per person per night. This bargain offer may be taken before or after your Christmas package.

New Year's Eve Celebrations 2007
Join us to celebrate the New Year in style with a relaxing evening of fine dining with good friends and good company. Our Head Chef James Garth & his award winning brigade are offering a very special six-course menu with a champagne toast for the New Year. Enjoy the warmth of our blazing log fire as you choose your meal and relax afterwards with a digestif in one of our comfortable lounges. Dress code is black tie, lounge suit or smart casual with bow tie - whichever you feel more comfortable in. Although we don't have a disco or band, you are more than welcome to smooch to our background music of light jazz, if the mood takes you!
Saturday 29th/Sunday 30th December
A warm welcome to Colwall and the Malvern Hills, or perhaps you prefer a little light shopping in the historic market towns of Ledbury, Bromyard and Upton upon Severn before enjoying a candlelit dinner with free choice from our award winning a la carte dinner menu.
Monday - New Year's Eve
You may wish to attend morning service at the beautiful 11th Century Great Malvern Priory and then spend the rest of the day strolling the Malvern Hills or exploring one of the attractive cathedral cities of Worcester, Hereford or Gloucester. What better way to work up an appetite for this evening's mouth-watering six-course candlelit gourmet dinner, rounded off with a Champagne Toast at midnight! A truly memorable evening with friends old and new. We will play quiet background music in the restaurant but please note that we do not have a disco or live band since most guests prefer a more sophisticated occasion.
Tuesday - New Year's Day
For horse race enthusiasts there's the annual meet at Cheltenham; enjoy the delights of the Cotswolds; experience the pleasure of driving on quiet unspoilt roads around the Wye Valley and Welsh Marches. Stay another night or two for the Sale Bargain price of only £60 pppn for dinner bed & breakfast.
